    • Annually conducts the Leadership Leavenworth-Lansing Program, designed to promote and develop new community leaders. The program has over 200 graduates. This program is a great way to meet fellow business people, and to develop your organization’s key leaders;
    • Aggressively represents the interests of our members as necessary, to include at municipal, county, state, and federal government levels. Studies legislation and lobbies on behalf of our members; testifies before legislative committees on bills that impact our members;
    • Acts as liaison between the business community and government, social service agencies, schools, and other organizations that are essential to the quality of life of our community;
    • Develops and conducts programs designed to market our area nationally for tourism, conferences and conventions, to include direct assistance to such groups;
    • Conducts public candidate forums, including taping and broadcasting these events on local cable TV as a public information service;
    • Coordinates "Operation International" sponsorship of the international officers attending Fort Leavenworth.  This program is a cultural exchange for our members and the greater community and serves a vital role in creating a better understanding with our international neighbors;
    • Co-sponsor, with our Women's Division, the Athena Award to the Business Woman of the Year, and assists the Women's Division with several of its programs; and
    • Opportunity to participate on councils and committees that allow one to ‘make a difference’ while at the same time expanding one’s contacts.
