Introducing Chamber Solutions - An Aetna Funding Advantage Medical Plans
A Great New Program
The Leavenworth-Lansing Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to offer another value-added benefit to our members. We are adding value to your membership to help you attract and maintain employees by offering cost-effective, high-quality health solutions to your team.
Effective now, the Leavenworth-Lansing Area Chamber of Commerce can offer a health insurance plan to your employees and their families through the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Kansas. This new plan, Chamber Solutions, is for qualified member businesses with 2-100 employees in the state of Kansas.
Chamber Solutions, an Aetna Funding Advantage Medical Plan, is a level funded product that offers the stability of a level monthly payment and stop loss protection with the ability to share in any claims funding surplus. Groups will receive individually underwritten proposals, and it also includes access to Aetna’s Choice POSII (Open Access) broad national network, two state-wide local networks, and value-added member programs.
As a member of the Leavenworth-Lansing Area Chamber of Commerce, you don’t have to wait for open enrollment to do underwriting and obtain a pricing proposal. CLICK HERE for the Chamber Solutions brochure and instructions on how to complete and submit your health census information. If you would like to use your local broker, please contact them to get signed up to be able to offer this product to other businesses. The broker should contact Tim Shrout, Gallagher Benefit Services, (816) 507-3249 / Tim_shrout@ajg.com, to get signed up.
How Does it Work?
No need to wait for Open Enrollment- obtain a pricing proposal:
- View Flyer (HERE)
- Submit your health census information (CENSUS) and upload it (HERE).
- The business/group can join at any time during the year. They should have Aetna give them a quote as there is no obligation.
- Each group needs to complete the census form:
- ALL full time employees should be listed. If they do not want the coverage they are listed as waiving (W).
- There should be at least half of the group choosing coverage. Sometimes we can convince Aetna to accept coverage with as low as 30% participation.
- All dependents needing coverage should be listed on separate lines beneath the employee with their birthdates included.
- Email addresses for each employee should be included
- For groups with less than 5 enrolling, Aetna will send an email with a link for each employee to complete a medical questionnaire. Even the waivers should sign in, but only need to indicate they are waving
- Rates are usually better than BCBS Affordable Care Act (ACA) rates; however, sometimes they can be higher or Aetna can also Decline to Quote (DTQ)
