National Invest in Veterans Week 2024

National Invest in Veterans Week runs March 1-7. This week is meant to set a focus on Veteran Entrepreneurs. In this article, we’ve gathered a few resources meant to boost Veterans Entrepreneurship, whether starting or growing a business.

 

Invest in Veterans Week- Starting us off, we have the resources compiled by the organization itself. Be sure to take a look around their website to see everything they have!

Small Business Association- The Small Business Association has training programs specifically for military veterans.

US Department of Agriculture- They have grants and programs aimed at helping Veterans who are interested in agriculture and agribusiness. Take a look!

Veteran Entrepreneur Portal- From the VA, this is a great resource to help you match your business with opportunities available to help.

VETRN- An organization with the goal of training veteran small business owners in a 6 month course to better their knowledge.

VETtoCEO- An organization for empowering veterans to succeed in business ownership. They have virtual programs available.

 

We hope these resources help! We appreciate the skills the Military Veteran workforce brings. And with a high percentage of Veterans in Leavenworth County (over 10% of the population) it is a unique opportunity and resource to make our area a go-to for Veteran Entrepreneurship.
