March 8 2024- International Women’s Day. We are here to support Women-Owned Businesses! If you’re looking to start or grow your business, we’ve got a few resources listed for you.


Resources:

Academy for Women Entrepreneurs- A program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs to promote women’s economic opportunities.

Empowering Women’s Entrepreneurship (WE)- From the United States Patent and Trademark Office. An initiative to empower women founders.

International Women’s Day- Check out their Women In Work section for some great information!

Small Business Administration- A fantastic resource for small businesses, check out their Women-Owned business section.

Women’s Business Development Center-  An organization that works to promote women’s business development. They have coaching, certification, and more.

Women’s Division- Our Chamber has a Women’s Division! Monthly luncheons, an Annual Athena Award, and scholarships. Come and network!

Women Taking the Lead- The US Chamber has multiple initiatives, including “Women Taking the Lead”.

Grants:

Cartier Women’s Initiative-offers three award categories: regional; diversity, equity, and inclusion; and science and technology pioneer.

GrantsForWomen.org- an online directory with a comprehensive database of grants for women globally.

HerRise MicroGrant- for U.S. registered businesses that are majority-owned by women of color. Focus on businesses that work with innovative community solutions.

The Kitty Fund- For small business owners who identify as mothers in 2024.

The Papaya Grant- To support the long-term success of a female-owned business.
